Costs and fees
Clear prices for private braces, clear aligners and retainers.
Private orthodontic fees
These are our fees for private orthodontic treatment. Health service (NHS) treatment is also available for those who qualify – see health service or private.
Metal braces and clear aligners cost the same at our clinic – the price just depends on how complex your case is. The same three price bands apply to both.
| What is included | Two sets of retainers are included. Aligner prices include refinements, so you do not pay more if treatment takes longer. Extractions, if needed, are done by your own dentist and are not included. Later replacement retainers are not included. |
|---|---|
| Assessment fee | £155 |
| Payment options | Pay a £900 deposit, then the rest in 12 monthly payments. A £150 plan fee is added to the balance and spread across your monthly payments. |
Your £155 assessment fee comes off your treatment price. If you go ahead with private treatment after your private assessment, we take the £155 you paid off the total cost of your braces or aligners. On our payment plan, the £155 comes off your £900 deposit, so you pay a £745 deposit and your monthly payments stay the same. This does not apply to the cross-border (HSE) scheme.
The orthodontist will explain which treatment is suitable for you, and the fee, at your assessment.
Under 18? Private braces or Smartee clear aligners cost £2,900 with our under-18s offer (usually £3,900) while the patient is younger than 18. See private braces for under-18s.

We are also an Invisalign provider. Invisalign aligners cost £1,000 more than the options above: from £3,900 for super mild cases, from £4,900 for moderate cases and from £5,900 for complex cases.
Moving to us part-way through treatment?
If you started orthodontic treatment somewhere else – for example, before moving to the area – we can usually take over your care.
- Transfer cases are usually treated privately, so our private fees apply.
- Start with a private assessment (£155). Your clinician will check how your treatment is going and explain what it will cost to finish.
- Bring any records or letters from your previous orthodontist, such as your treatment plan, X-rays or a transfer letter.
To book, call 028 9045 1303 or use our referral form.
Retainer prices
| Replacement retainers | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 retainer (upper or lower) | £105 |
| 1 set (upper and lower) | £210 |
| 2 sets (multi-buy) | £380 (save £40) |
| 3 sets (multi-buy) | £510 (save £120) |
Your regular dentist may also be able to provide replacement retainers. The cost will vary depending on your dentist.
If you do not wear your retainers and your teeth move, and we did your original braces, for us to treat you again to straighten your teeth it will cost £1,245 per arch (£2,490 for upper and lower). Otherwise, our standard private prices above apply. The health service never pays for a second course of treatment. Read more about retainers.
Broken or lost braces
For removable braces and Twin Blocks: repair or replacement is free if you bring back the model of your teeth we gave you. Without the model, a repair costs about £80, and a replacement brace costs about £110 (health service charge). See our broken or lost brace policy.
Questions and answers
I started treatment elsewhere. Can you finish it?
Usually, yes. Transfer cases are usually treated privately, so our private fees apply. Book a private assessment (£155), where your clinician checks your progress and explains the cost to finish. Please bring any records or letters from your previous orthodontist.
Sibling or parent offer
Any sibling or parent of one of our patients who wants private orthodontic treatment gets 10% off. Free assessment offer: if you are a parent or sibling of someone currently in health service (NHS) or private treatment with us, we are offering you a free private assessment (usually £155). Everyone is assessed separately. Read about the sibling or parent offer.
